They’ve only just begun

The Lexington Minuteman ran an article today about the Lexington High School graduation ceremony. Ethan was the keynote speaker.

The keynote speaker for the ceremony wad [sic] 1992 LHS graduate and recent “Survivor: Africa” winner Ethan Zohn, who emphasized the importance of learning about self.

“Real knowledge,” said Zohn, “is knowing who you are, what you are about and how you respond to challenges.”

Zohn, who won $1 million for his success on “Survivor,” said his experiences of having nothing and being forced to make do in Africa made him learn a lot about himself. Upon his return, he used is winnings to start a charity supporting AIDS education in Africa.

“I had to lose myself to find myself,” he said, adding the skills students have honed during their time in Lexington will prepare them for the challenges ahead.

“The best way to predict your future is to create it,” said Zohn.
