A raffle will be held, awarding kids a chance to shoot on the former professional goalie. Zohn played for the Highlanders Football Club in Zimbabwe, the Cape Cod Crusaders in Massachusetts, and the Hawaii Tsunami in Oahu, Hawaii. He also played and was a teammate of Thunder midfielder Amos Magee on the U.S. National Maccabiah Team in 1997 and 2001 in Israel, and coached in the 2004 games in Chile.
Zohn will be in town promoting the Grassroots Soccer Organization he founded after winning “Survivor: Africa” in 2002. The mission of the organization is to reduce the spread of HIV and Aids by education at-risk youth. “We go to countries, find the most professional and well-known soccer players and train them to go into schools and teach the youth, who see these players as heroes.”
You can see Zohn currently competing in “Survivor: All-Stars” Thursday nights on CBS.
