Love Survivor-Style

From the June issue of Whirl magazine
By Becca Cipriani

“Survivor” alums Jenna Morasca and Ethan Zohn have been a couple since before the “All-Stars” show. Whirl suggested they interview each other about the show and their time together. Here are the juicy tidbits they squeezed from each other.

Q: What was your first impression of me?

E: We talked on the phone before we actually met and clicked right away. We talked for hours. You were a lot different from on the show. You were tough on the “Survivor” but a sweet person in real life.

J: I thought you were a quiet and kept to yourself. You had a great sense of humor that was similar to mine. I knew I connected with you in a different way. From the first time we talked, I knew that you were so caring for other people and a wonderful guy.

Q: What is something about you “Survivor” fans don’t know?

E: I’m wearing a wig.

J: I’m the one wearing a wig…not Ethan.

Q: What is a perfect date for you?

E: Wake up in a hammock on the beach, play soccer on the beach, and sail into the sunset.

J: Wake up on the beach, eat a big lunch with lots of pickles, take out a sailboat on the clear blue water, and relax.

Q: What’s the one thing you would like to change about yourself?

E: I’d like to be 6′2″.

J: I would love to change the shape of my nose. It has always bothered me.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about me?

E: I like the way you snuggle and make me laugh at the same time… and how you talk to animals like they’re real people.

J: I have never met someone that went so out of their way to make others happy, especially me. You are so thoughtful and creative and have a big heart.

Q: What’s the one thing you longed for while on “Survivor”?

E: A big couch.

J: Chocolate (for both seasons) and for the Amazon, carpet. I wanted to walk around with bare feet for once.

Q: What did you do with your clothing from the show?

E: Quarantined it in a vacuum-tight bag so the smell wouldn’t kill my cat.

J: I also quarantined it in a vacuum-tight bag so it wouldn’t kill my dog, Rocky, and my neighbors.

Q: What’s the first thing you did when you arrived home from “Survivor”?

E: Besides eating everything in sight, I relaxed and spent time with my family while picking the bugs and sand out of my afro.

J: Ate everything that was put in front of me, caught up with all my tabloids and emails, and relaxed!
