Kick AIDS Fall 2004

National juggle-a-thon fundraiser

Kick AIDS is a Grassroot Soccer fundraising and awareness program targeted at high school and middle school soccer players in the United States. Kids raise money for Kick AIDS by collecting contributions for team-based soccer juggle-a-thon events. The emphasis of Kick AIDS is on participation, with the added incentive of competition, recognition for fundraising, and team-based prizes.

In the fall of 2004 Grassroot Soccer will be recruiting teams from around the country to participate in the Kick AIDS Team Challenge. Grassroot Soccer Ambassadors will be on the road for three weeks to speak to each team that participates in the Team Challenge.

The Ambassadors will talk about Grassroot Soccer and AIDS/HIV education and prevention, leading into how the players can help make a difference. Introducing the Kick AIDS Team Challenge, the Ambassadors will challenge and motivate the players to raise money for Grassroot Soccer. Individual players will have the opportunity to earn special incentives in recognition of their fundraising efforts.
