Hollywood Celebrities and Professional Soccer Stars to Play Charity Match In New Braunfels, TX
Ethan Zohn, winner of Survivor:Africa, and Other Celebrities To Raise Money For AIDS and Peace In Charity Soccer Match
San Antonio, TX - February 28, 2008 - Celebrities from professional soccer, TV and reality stars from Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, Bachelorette and more are gearing up for an exciting afternoon of soccer at the Texas Pro Soccer Festival / Ethan Zohn’s Celebrity Charity Match at New Braunfels’ Unicorn Stadium on Saturday, March 8th at 4:00 p.m.
Zohn’s appearances for the event will support Grassroot Soccer, a global AIDS prevention organization he co-founded after winning the $1,000,000 on Survivor- Africa, and Footballers for Peace. Grassroot Soccer teams up with international soccer stars to deliver essential health prevention messages to children in the world’s most HIV affected countries (http://www.grassrootsoccer.org). Footballers for Peace helps those stuck in underprivileged areas by providing opportunities for people to learn and share their passion for football through fun, educational programs and events and is the non-profit arm of Ziga-Zoga Sports and Entertainment, www.zigazoga.com.

The Festival will feature Zohn, Without A Trace’s Anthony LaPaglia, Survivor All-Stars contestants, “Big Tom” Buchanan and Jenna Morasca (Amazon winner); the winner of Survivor- Exile, Aras Baskauskas, Amazing Race 12 winners, TK and Rachel, Big Brother 2 winner, Dr Will, Survivor: Pearl Island contestant, Johnny Fairplay, and Big Brother All Stars Winner, Mike Boogie.
Former US National Team and Colorado Rapids/MLS All-Star, Marcello Balboa, Former DC United and Bolivian International, Marco Etcheverry, US U-20 Head Coach, Thomas Rongen, Chivas USA’s Preki, Toronto FC’s Mo Johnson and others local celebrities will be rounding out the lineup. All the celebrities will be there hanging out and signing autographs. Fans of all ages are welcome!

Come meet the celebrities, as there will be food, drinks, and fun at the special dinner the same evening at 8:00 p.m. at The Lion and Rose Sonterra, at 700 E. Sonterra Blvd, San Antonio. There will be a $10 donation at the door. Signed memorabilia, team gear, shirts and more will be auctioned.
