Foster Jenna & Ethan’s namesake koalas at Dreamworld!
Survivor All Star glamour couple, Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca will kickstart their Australian Koala Foundation (AKF) tour by rubbing shoulders with two koalas who have been specially named after them at Dreamworld, and who are now available in our foster program.
The couple who fell in love on the All Stars series will take a break from their hectic schedules to be the first Survivors ever to visit Australia, as well as to meet their koala namesakes at Dreamworld who they hope fans of the hit TV show will foster through the Australian Koala Foundation’s unique program.
Jenna Morasca, winner of Survivor Amazon and self confessed animal lover says: “Ethan and I are so excited to come ‘Down Under’ to meet our koalas. We are hoping that our fans will love the koalas as much as they loved our show and decide to add them to their family tree. With one of my favorite celebrations, Valentine’s Day just round the corner, fostering our koala couple will cost less than a bunch of flowers. Our new furry friends can be fostered individually at the special February price of $99(AU) month or you can foster the loved up pair for $180(AU).”
The two koalas are housed at Dreamworld’s Australian Wildlife Experience, on Australia’s Gold Coast, where they are safe, well fed and happy. Dreamworld’s Australian Wildlife Experience is one of the largest native wildlife parks in South East Queensland and home to the second largest koala colony in the world.
“Dreamworld is delighted to participate in the koala foster program as part of our long standing relationship with the AKF,” says Dreamworld’s General Manager of Life Sciences.
“The two koalas now named Jenna and Ethan came out of the pouch late last year and are very cute. The koalas will continue to live at Dreamworld where our guests can meet them at the Australian Wildlife Experience.”
Thanks to the AKF foster program, koalas that live in captivity help save their cousins in the wild. The money generated from the program is poured back into wild koala research and conservation programs.
Survivor Africa winner, Ethan Zohn, says “We are thrilled that we will be able to visit Dreamworld to hold a koala for the first time, we are extremely honored to have two of Australia’s most recognized icons named after us. With less than 100 000 koalas left in the wild we hope that our fans will jump behind the koala cause and foster our two gorgeous marsupials, they will certainly be a gift to get your girl’s heart fluttering.”
