For Immediate Release

Washington, DC – Jenna Morasca, winner of Survivor: Amazon, and Ethan Zohn, winner of Survivor: Africa, will volunteer in Uganda in honor of World AIDS Day, December 1, 2004.

The celebrity couple will be guests of Project Namuwongo Zone B (PNZB), a community-based, sustainable development and humanitarian relief organization based in Washington, DC with staff in Kampala, Uganda.

Jenna and Ethan, who is also vice chairman and spokesperson for Grassroot Soccer, will attend the groundbreaking of the football (soccer) field for the Namuwongo Youth Football and Basketball League (NYFBL). The NYFBL is a co-ed, after-school recreational program initiated by PNZB that, in partnership with Grassroot Soccer, will bring an internationally recognized HIV/AIDS prevention curriculum to the community.

“The Zone B youth are very excited about Ethan and Jenna’s arrival,” said Jeremy M. Goldberg, PNZB co-founder and executive director. “Project Namuwongo Zone B is grateful for their friendship and support of our community-based programs in Zone B.”

Ethan and Jenna will be in Uganda December 1-7, 2004.

“Jenna and I look forward to volunteering in Uganda during World AIDS Week,” said Ethan Zohn, Grassroot Soccer vice chairman. “We are especially eager to see the youth’s excitement when construction of the football field begins. Grassroot Soccer is happy to offer its guidance and support to PNZB.”
